Coconut Sambal

 Ingredients

·         2 cups of grated coconut

·         Sliced red onions (3 – 4 cloves)

·         Sliced green chilies (1 – 2 is enough)

·         1 tablespoon of chili pieces

·         1 tablespoon of Maldive fish pieces

·         ½ teaspoon of ground pepper

·         Chopped small size tomato

·         Salt as per the taste

·         Lime juice as per the taste

 



Instructions:

1.    Put all the ingredients except salt and lime juice into a Mortar and grind using pestle or grind the mixture using grinding stone.   

2.      Move the mixture into a plastic or glass bowl and add Lime juice and salt as per the taste.

3.      Coconut Sambol is ready to serve with slices of bread, hot red/ white rice.
